Primo giorno – First day

Oggi siamo andati nel circolo culturale ( πολιτικό κέντρο) tre le colline di Zante , qui ,in Grecia;

Today we went to the cultural circle (πολιτικό κέντρο) three hills of Zakynthos, here, in Greece;
It never happened to search the internet for a city that I had never seen in my entire life and I am not even a writer, however, it is a feeling that I wish anyone because traveling makes you forget about a lot of problems and things that always repeat themselves in the same way and at the same pace almost as if they don’t feel alive anymore as when we were children. We arrived last night after so much weight carried on the shoulders and bags of sandwiches brought from Patras because to get here by land and by sea we had to face three fairly difficult routes if you are in a group especially with a more special person because in a chair wheels; I like them all in the same way because you almost never laugh at the funny comments made by each of us!
I had never been aboard a ferry so large and perhaps not the others (some “think of others” that a boy remembered me; now I think of writing eheh!) I was very impressed with the size of these huge but never as huge as to an perhaps forgotten island but if I had to compare Greece Salentina (located in the province of Lecce) and Grecìa (ì) , it is much less neurotic about the friendliness of the people and I perceive much more tranquility and inner peace.
Arriving at the club, Simonetta explained to us to become as silent as possible to reach levels of type Buddhism.
After a ten minute break we headed to a house / shop where a Greek lady lived with two or maybe three small children one cradled him in her arms and kindly prepared us four cups of coffee (I didn’t understand in what way he cooked it since it was strange almost nobody was able to drink it since it is not a coffee like the one made with mocha or with the coffee machine from the bar..even if I almost regretted not having asked how he had prepared it) He didn’t even make us pay for them! Meanwhile Gianni had gone to buy the pizzas of the ninja turtles because they were huge and full of garlic! We were very tired and hungry after the long journey of two days … we didn’t even see them since someone started without thinking about biting and eating in a hurry!) … Afterwards we returned about two hundred meters away in the cultural circle and Roberta towards the end of the lesson, the English-speaking group, Simonetta and all of us were sitting in a circle on the parquet, introduced us and pointed out to us that we pronounced our names too quickly compared to the other boys from other countries and also the Spanish they pointed it out with a facial expression… coming from Romania from Spain and from England.

Secondo giorno – Second day

Everything is quiet on this island; the sea clears everything … I have the impression that people are more attentive to everything and it seems that they are not afraid of anything.
As soon as we arrived in the cultural club, Roberta and Simonetta told us to pay close attention and silence so we are sitting on the left near the front door on chairs lined with almost dark green and perhaps made of wrought iron and behind us c ‘was a stained glass window about 70 cm thick with all the ancient clothes inside with the names in Greek perhaps wanted to specify who they belonged to many years ago. Each of us tried to understand a little of what he was explaining to the actors how they expressed their actions more directly towards the interlocutor and not only with their eyes but also through their voice, as it too is a fundamental tool to try to make the scene put in place more vigorous. Today’s lesson was very nice because we also saw how to prepare by practicing repeating at the same time with your part for the show held on the 20th called Homily. They also offered us fruit during the lunch break because we didn’t know if Gianni was bringing us food or we had to stay on a diet! Eheh .. with everything they made us eat in restaurants every now and then it takes fasting?! … mmm … it depends .. ^ _ ^
Yesterday was also a day not to be forgotten because after the theater rehearsals (mainly singing with Mala chianta, laughter and other curious events) in the evening they took us to a high school where there were guests of typical local dances and they tried to teach us (all arranged in a huge circle) together with the other group of Spanish, Romanian, English and Italian boys from the Astragali theater. It was all beautiful because there is always something new and unexpected every day we spend together …
Now we are in the Hotel after walking on the hill in the company of Dionisio (haha Diodato I had written!) Who made our way to let us admire Zante seen from above also in the evening together with Costas and in five minutes we have to go out again to go to dinner with him for the umpteenth time; how beautiful!
It’s all very nice, being here is making me want to escape from home!

Terzo giorno – Third day

Yesterday we went to a beautiful beach despite the slightly foggy weather seemed to be really on an island and you could see the mountains on one side and the other … and yes, we were on an island! …
Today we went to the Bagorda together with Giovanna and Takis, a typical carnival festival of the place where on the street, we observed that they roast meat skewers in every point of the country even outside the shopping centers; so much so that as soon as we arrived I felt like running away because I don’t like smoking of any kind (except the one in the Hotel of the hot shower!)
We started to dance holding hands in a circle (here it is used to hold hands like this!) Together with the women (maybe I’m writing it because Pietro pointed out to me that he was the only male who danced among us all and having pulled me to dance without being alone watching them) of the place (the men instead sang and played with the instruments amplified at full volume, it was two in the afternoon but I arrived later because I woke up late), then Paola was very kind and he kept me a typical sweet that seemed “portable pudding” (maybe I call it that because he had rolled it up in a paper towel and kept it in his backpack) made with polenta, milk and cinnamon with refined sugar as an external garnish and lho shared with Gaetano on the way to an elementary school where some local gentlemen and their mother tongue performed in the gym (I didn’t understand anything except when people laughed or did they stopped pretending to be angry or chasing each other on stage) that a few days ago we also witnessed the rehearsals in the middle of the olive trees (I recorded them with the camera!) it was very nice because I had the sun in front of me; they dressed like women; when we left the gym they gave us a dessert made with milk and rice …
Then we went back to the country place where inside the house there was a small theater and we listened to the interview in English on the homily held yesterday evening in a very nice theater where inside the entrance there were two cars huge antique grip and the armchairs were comfortable and arranged from the bottom up … the desserts are super yummy and I like cinnamon a lot (here it is also used as an essence in restaurants you can feel it in the air).
After that we left (with the nine-seater Van driven by Gianni) and now we find ourselves in the Hotel … the only thing I would like to underline is that everything is very beautiful, always, every day we are all together here (the Spaniards they are very energetic so much so that they even hosted us to be together with them to chat and play in a billiard room) and it would be nice to stay like this even in Salento instead of being all closed in the houses in front of a TV …
On the penultimate day Costa t, ook us to a very beautiful place, a natural park behind the mountains where there are sea turtles called “caretta caretta” and the tour guide, made up of three ladies, summarized us in a nutshell, how long does it take turtles and how they lay their eggs on the sand through video documents projected inside the wooden house … then we went down to the bay and walked to a very long beach where I collected three little stones and took some panoramic photos.
Theater seems to me a good way to try to get closer, to get closer as Roberta often told us during her lessons.
Perhaps it could be an almost secret key still to be replicated over time for many human beings and then looking for the cages of our heart kept locked up for a long time.
